History

North Augusta has a rich history that can be seen in the grand old homes along Georgia and West Avenue. To go back even further, one need only experience the Living History Park, a nine-acre facility on the edge of downtown that represents North Augusta from approximately 1735 to 1785. To capture the complete story, one must take some time to visit the Arts and Heritage Center in the North Augusta Municipal Building. Featuring two galleries and permanent exhibits, the AHCNA is part of the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor and provides an immersive experience into the history of North Augusta.
